Is there a weight limit?
Yes, no single passenger can exceed 290lbs, and total combined passenger weight cannot exceed 590lbs. We reserve the right to weigh all passengers to determine a safe weight and balance for the aircraft. These restrictions are subject to change based on weather conditions.
How many passengers can fly at a time?
1 to 3 passengers can fly at a time, but a reservation must be booked for 2 passengers minimum (a solo rider must book 2 seats on a tour to fly alone).
What if we have more than 3 in our group?
-We will separate your group into different flights according to passenger weight.
Is there a minimum age requirement for the helicopter tours?
Our age limit is 3, but it is generally up to the pilot’s discretion. All children must be able to sit upright in their own seat and wear a headset.
Can we take photos and videos on our flight?
Yes, please do! We just ask that you keep all cameras and mobile devices inside of the aircraft at all times, because we would hate for you to lose all of your amazing photos.
What should I expect on my helicopter tour?
Riding in a helicopter provides a thrilling opportunity to see the area from a different perspective.
Our helicopters are equipped with comfortable leather seats and expansive windows for your best visibility. Before your flight our staff will give you a safety briefing so that you are comfortable in and around the aircraft. Seating arrangements are determined by the weight and balance of the aircraft.Once in side the aircraft you will be equipped with headsets used to communicate with your pilot and other passengers. Our pilots are trained to make your tour an exceptional and memorable experience!
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, but reservations are highly recommended. You are welcome to come in at any time during our normal operating hours. Please understand that there are varying wait times for walk-ins depending on other customers who may be there before you. If you prefer not to wait, then please call ahead or book online to secure your spot.
What happens if there is inclement weather?
On occasion, poor visibility or very high winds may cause a flight delay. Cancellations are typically not an issue. In the case of a delay, you may either re-book the flight for a later date or wait until the pilot clears you for flying.
However, if we need to cancel a tour for any reason, we will contact you and offer you the option to reschedule. If rescheduling is not a possibility (due to travel plans, for instance), we will refund the full amount.
Can a person with disabilities take a flight?
In most cases YES! We are able to take wheelchairs out to the loading area. From that point boarding the aircraft is similar to climbing into jeep or tall SUV. We are there to assist in any way possible but we are not permitted to lift passengers. Please call ahead to discuss loading procedures.
Will I get motion sick?
Our flights are typically very smooth as if you were riding in a car. Rarely do we have anyone get motion sick however we do have bags if you need one.
Am I allowed to fly if I am pregnant?
Yes, we often welcome expecting mothers to fly. It is recommended to clear it through your doctor first.
Can I change my reservation?
Notify us at least an hour before your flight departure and we will happily reschedule your flight at no additional cost. No-shows will not be refunded.
What time should I arrive for my scheduled flight?
Your reservation time is your arrival time, flights depart within 30 minutes of your reservation time. Due to unforeseen delays with airport traffic and weather, departure times are not guaranteed.
Is it scary?
No! Some passengers are a bit nervous prior to take off, but that goes away quickly! Our flights are smooth and stable, nothing like a rollercoaster or even a small plane.
Can animals come along for the ride?
No. Title 14 of The Code of Federal Regulations, part 382.117, states that animals cannot fly if “the animal obstructs an aisle or other area that must remain unobstructed to facilitate an emergency evacuation.” Every exit and aisle on a helicopter is an emergency exit and aisle. Additionally, as no one can be certain of how an animal will react in a high-stress situation, their access to the flight controls is a major safety concern to all aboard the helicopter.
Is it customary to tip the pilot?
Tips are greatly appreciated but not expected.
